Bring & Buy

Our MOBCON Bring and Buy provides a facility for those selling games to meet up with those hunting a bargain. This is a small event, with a limited staff that is available on a volunteer basis, so we cannot staff a till or manage a formal Bring and Buy. However, we consider a Bring and Buy sale to be an important part of an Open Day event, so these are the rules for the Bring and Buy:

The Bring and Buy at MOBCON is a facility offered for private individuals to offer their games for sale to attendees of MOBCON. In offering games for sale and in buying games so offered, Buyers and Sellers are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out here.

Note: No bags or containers (other than the primary container for a game) are allowed in the Bring and Buy room at any time

For Sellers
-
All goods offered on the Bring and Buy are left at the sellers' risk - the Organizers of MOBCON and the volunteers running the Bring and Buy accept no responsibility or liability for any goods stolen, lost or accidentally damaged.
-
Games offered for sale must be complete, unless there is a clearly visible label indicating otherwise
-
The condition of the box/container must be representative of condition of the contents unless there is a clearly visible label indicating otherwise
-
Games offered for sale must have a label securely attached in a manner that will not damage the game box/container; the label must:
-
indicate the item(s) being offered (e.g. the name of the game and any expansions or accessories);
-
say who is offering the game for sale,
-
say the price at which the item is offered. (We recommend a band of clear, cohesive PVC tape holding a Post-It note in place; this both secures the box and the label. If you don't know the type of tape we mean, we don't mean "cohesive bandage", if you are still not clear, please contact us directly for advice)
-
The person who is offering the game for sale is responsible for agreeing terms and payment method. The organisers cannot provide any payment facilities.

For Buyers
-
Games are offered "as is" on a basis of caveat emptor; the MOBCON organizers accept no responsibility for any aspect of the transaction between you and the seller
-
The games offered for Bring and Buy will be held in a side room, you may only enter the side room with the permission of the organizer on duty by the door to the room. The organizer on duty will limit the number of people in the Bring and Buy room to limit the risk of any incident.
-
If you want to examine the contents of the box, ask the organizer to direct you to the person selling the game do not open the game without permission
